These terms explain how Nawever ("Inko") collects, uses, and provides your personal location information when you use Inko's location-based features, under Korea's Act on the Protection, Use, etc. of Location Information. They apply together with the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy.
Inko uses your location only for the following features.
Location sharing is optional. Inko collects your location only while you have turned on location sharing in the app and allowed location permission on your device. While you use the app, it sends your device's current location (latitude, longitude, and accuracy), and Inko records when it was received.
Precise coordinates are used only inside Inko's systems: to calculate distances, to place you in an approximate display cell (about 1 km) and a city, and for the consistency check in section 1. They are never shown to other members or returned by Inko's APIs.
While you share your location, other members can see approximate information derived from it: your distance from them, measured from the centre of your display cell and rounded to 100 m; your city; that you are in a particular display cell (about 1 km) or map grid area (0.12° or larger, about 13 km north to south), because you can appear in the member list for that cell or area; and, on the Friends map, a pin placed at your city's centre that can show your name and profile photo. Inko does not provide your personal location information to anyone else without your consent or a legal basis.
A shared location is valid for up to 7 days. When it expires or you stop sharing, Inko stops using it, and an automatic job deletes it once a grace period of 1 day has passed. When you request account deletion, your location is deleted immediately.
To check that a shared location is consistent with other signals, Inko keeps a location consistency record (country level) for each location you share: the country of your location (GPS), of your connection's IP address, and, on Android, of your mobile network and SIM, and the result of comparing them, without your coordinates. These records are kept for 90 days and then deleted automatically. Inko also keeps a location source record for each location you share, such as when it was received, the app version, how your device read the location, and whether your device reported a mock location, without your coordinates, for 90 days, and then deletes it automatically. When you request account deletion, both are deleted immediately.
As required by law, Inko's system automatically records, once a day, that your location was collected, used to answer a location feature, or provided to other members as approximate information. A record holds your account, the date and the time it was first recorded that day, the type (collection, use, or provision), and the recipient category (Inko or other members). It holds no coordinates and does not identify the members who saw your information. Records are kept for 6 months and then deleted automatically. When you delete your account, they are destroyed without delay.
Inko is available only to users aged 14 or older, so Inko does not collect personal location information of children under 14.
If a dispute about location information is not resolved by discussion with Inko, you may apply for a ruling under Article 28 of the Act on the Protection, Use, etc. of Location Information or for mediation to the Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee.
Inko's location-based features are free of charge. Your mobile carrier's data charges for using the app may apply under your own plan.
Inko does not provide your personal location information to a third party you designate. If that changes, Inko will ask for your consent first and notify you immediately each time it provides it, with the recipient, the date and time, and the purpose.
If Inko adds a location-based service, or changes one so that the collection, use, or provision described in these terms changes (for example, showing your location more precisely or to new recipients), Inko first revises these terms and asks for your consent again before using your location for it.
These terms were revised on 2026-10-23 and take effect on 2026-10-23. When Inko changes them, it posts the revised terms on this page with the reasons for and details of the change and the effective date at least 7 days before they take effect (at least 30 days before for a change that is unfavorable to you). If a change affects how your location is collected, used, or provided, Inko asks for your consent again on the app's consent screen. If you do not agree, you can stop location sharing or withdraw your consent at any time as described in section 6.
이 약관은 Nawever(이하 "회사")가 인코 앱의 위치기반서비스를 제공하면서 개인위치정보를 수집·이용·제공하는 조건과 절차를 「위치정보의 보호 및 이용 등에 관한 법률」에 따라 정합니다. 서비스 이용약관, 개인정보처리방침과 함께 적용합니다.
1. 목적과 제공 서비스: 회사는 위치를 다음 서비스에만 씁니다. 주변 사용자 목록과 근사 거리, 친구 지도의 도시 핀과 도시·지도 영역별 회원 목록, 탐색·프로필 방문 목록의 근사 거리, 위치 위조와 악용을 막기 위한 위치 일관성 확인.
2. 수집: 위치 공유는 선택 사항입니다. 앱에서 위치 공유를 켜고 기기의 위치 권한을 허용한 동안에만, 앱을 사용하는 중에 기기의 현재 위치(위도·경도·정확도)를 받아 저장하고 받은 시각을 기록합니다.
3. 이용과 제공: 정밀 좌표는 회사 시스템 안에서 거리 계산, 약 1km 표시 칸과 도시 배정, 1번의 위치 일관성 확인에만 쓰며 다른 회원에게 보여 주거나 API로 내보내지 않습니다. 위치를 공유하는 동안 다른 회원은 회원님의 표시 칸 중심에서 잰 100m 단위 근사 거리, 도시, 회원님이 어느 약 1km 표시 칸이나 0.12도 이상(남북 약 13km)의 지도 격자 영역 안에 있다는 사실(그 칸·영역의 회원 목록에 포함될 수 있습니다), 친구 지도에서 도시 중심에 찍힌 핀과 그 핀에 표시될 수 있는 이름·프로필 사진을 볼 수 있습니다. 회사는 회원님의 동의나 법령의 근거 없이 그 밖의 제3자에게 개인위치정보를 제공하지 않습니다.
4. 보유와 파기: 공유한 위치는 최대 7일 동안 유효합니다. 만료되거나 공유를 끄면 더는 쓰지 않고, 1일의 여유를 둔 뒤 자동 파기 작업이 지웁니다. 회원 탈퇴를 요청하면 즉시 삭제합니다. 위치 위조와 악용을 막는 위치 일관성 확인을 위해, 공유한 위치마다 위치(GPS) 나라, 접속 IP 나라, Android 통신망 나라, SIM 나라와 그 비교 결과를 좌표 없이 위치 일관성 확인 기록(나라 단위)으로 남기고 90일 동안 보관한 뒤 자동으로 파기합니다. 공유한 위치마다 받은 시각, 앱 판, 기기가 위치를 읽은 방식, 모의 위치 신호 같은 출처도 좌표 없이 위치 출처 기록으로 90일 동안 보관한 뒤 자동으로 파기합니다. 두 기록 모두 회원 탈퇴를 요청하면 즉시 파기합니다.
5. 위치정보 수집·이용·제공사실 확인자료: 회사는 법에 따라 회원님의 위치를 수집한 사실, 위치 기능에 이용한 사실, 다른 회원에게 근사 정보로 제공한 사실을 하루 단위로 위치정보시스템에 자동 기록합니다. 기록에는 회원 계정, 날짜와 그날 처음 기록한 시각, 유형(수집·이용·제공), 제공받는 자의 범주(회사·다른 회원)가 남고, 좌표와 정보를 본 회원은 남지 않습니다. 확인자료는 6개월 동안 보관한 뒤 자동으로 파기하며, 회원 탈퇴 시에는 지체 없이 파기합니다.
6. 이용자의 권리: 앱에서 위치 공유를 끄거나 기기의 위치 권한을 거부하면 언제든지 개인위치정보의 수집·이용·제공을 중지할 수 있고, 다시 켤 수 있습니다. 앱 또는 /account-deletion에서 회원 탈퇴를 하면 동의 전부를 철회할 수 있으며, 회사는 수집한 개인위치정보와 5번의 확인자료를 지체 없이 파기합니다. support@nawever.com으로 본인에 대한 확인자료와 제공 이유의 열람·고지, 오류의 정정을 요구할 수 있으며, 회사는 법령에 다른 정함이 없으면 지체 없이 응합니다.
7. 14세 미만 아동: 인코는 만 14세 이상만 이용할 수 있어 14세 미만 아동의 개인위치정보를 수집하지 않습니다.
8. 분쟁 해결: 위치정보와 관련한 분쟁이 회사와의 협의로 해결되지 않으면 「위치정보의 보호 및 이용 등에 관한 법률」 제28조에 따라 재정을 신청하거나 개인정보 분쟁조정위원회에 조정을 신청할 수 있습니다.
9. 사업자 정보: 위치기반서비스사업자 Nawever, 주소 서울특별시 강남구 도곡로3길 25, 805호 삼성애니텔, 통신판매업 신고번호 2026-서울강남-03862, 위치정보관리책임자 대표 권오훈, 문의 support@nawever.com.
10. 요금: 위치기반서비스는 무료입니다. 앱을 쓰며 드는 데이터 통신 요금은 회원님이 쓰는 통신사 요금제에 따릅니다.
11. 회원이 지정한 제3자 제공과 통보: 회사는 회원이 지정한 제3자에게 개인위치정보를 제공하지 않습니다. 제공하게 되면 먼저 동의를 받고, 제공할 때마다 제공받는 자, 제공 일시와 목적을 회원에게 즉시 알립니다.
12. 서비스 추가·변경: 위치기반서비스를 더하거나, 이 약관에 적은 수집·이용·제공 방식이 바뀌도록 서비스를 바꿀 때(예: 위치를 더 정밀하게 보여 주거나 새로운 상대에게 제공) 회사는 먼저 이 약관을 고치고, 그 서비스에 위치를 쓰기 전에 다시 동의를 받습니다.
13. 약관의 효력과 변경: 이 약관은 2026-10-23에 개정해 2026-10-23부터 시행합니다. 회사가 약관을 바꿀 때는 변경 이유와 내용, 시행일을 시행 7일 전(회원에게 불리한 변경은 30일 전)까지 이 페이지에 게시합니다. 개인위치정보의 수집·이용·제공 방식이 바뀌면 앱의 동의 화면에서 다시 동의를 받으며, 동의하지 않으면 6번의 방법으로 언제든지 위치 공유를 멈추거나 동의를 철회할 수 있습니다.
변경 이력: 2026-10-23 개정, 2026-10-23 시행 — 10~13번(요금, 회원이 지정한 제3자 제공과 통보, 서비스 추가·변경, 약관의 효력과 변경)을 더하고, 4번에 위치 일관성 확인 기록과 위치 출처 기록의 보관 기간을 적었습니다. 이유: 법이 약관에 정하도록 한 조건과 회사가 남기는 기록의 보관 기간을 밝히기 위해서입니다.
